Sweet Strawberries

Happy Thursday! How are you today?
I was so pleased with the great participation for last weeks challenge!! The cards are fantabulous! My internet down here has been painfully I hav enot commented on all the cards....but I did view most. BLING-A-LICIOUS!

I hope that we will have just as good participation for this week's
Tooty F ruity theme! mmmm...mmmmm...mmmmmm! Nothing like fresh juicy fruit in the summer! (ok, ok! I know that some of you are actually in the winter hemisphere right now...sorry). :(
But we are kickin' it back in the summertime! oooh...was that rubbing it in??? heeheehee! JK!

I'll bet that many of you have more fruit stamps than you think. Apples? Cherries? Pineapples? Lemons? I know you have something. As of this moment there are 36 comments on last weeks challenge....most of those are links to TERRIFIC challenge cards....lets see if we can get at least 30 links this week too!!

Since I premade this card I do not remember who made the paper. If you must know let me know and I will check it out when I get home. After all, the thing I am usually looking for in people's recipes is who made the paper so that I can my hands on some too! You know I colored with the Copics pictured. I added glitter around the edge of the layer with the Strawberry on it and added stickles where the strawberry seeds are. I used the Strawberry Stamp and Strawberry Tilda...which can be preordered separately or as part of Diana's Discounted Bundle at Magnolia-licious.

On the vacation front things are going well. We went to a water park on Tuesday. (thats why I too tired to post a card for Wed.) Lost Declan for about 10 minutes! Found him swimming in the deep end of another pool....Good thing he can swim! OMG....I can't even tell you the sheer terror I felt. After he was back I started balling. I need a tether from me to him. He takes any opportunity he can. Other than that the kids had fun. Declan LOVES the water. And since I don't get many pictures of the moments that Declan is smiling or enjoying himself..(with his hatred of the camera and all). Here's a pic of Declan after he scared the daylights out of us by taking off on his own adventure!:

Yesterday we had a another down day. (too pooped after a day at the waterpark) We went to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory tour. Glad it's only about 7 minutes from house because the "tour" was walking down a short hallway and looking in about 5 windows and not being able to see much. :P It took us longer to get the kids out of the car than it did to view the tour! LOL! Then we drove around exploring for awhile....Had to make a stop at BJ's and since it was time for me to update my cell phone I conned Pat into agreeing on getting me a Blackberry. :) How happy am I that I will never be far from the internet! LOL! Then we went to dinner and after a little exploring an ice cream, of course.

More Christmas Card rejects:

"Who me? Try and drown my sister? No way!"

Tired, messy kids!

Thanks for humoring me by letting me share my pics and stories!

I loved all your comments about the trials and tribulations of getting pics of your clan over the years!

Have a Magnificent Thursday!!

OMGosh Kerry, this card is absolutely the cutest I've seen with the new Summer Collection! I will CASE this card of yours. I believe the strawberry DP is called "Strawberry Fields" and is by KI Memories. Mine is a shimmer paper but it looks exactly alike. That's why I would like to CASE yours LOL! You have colored Tilda so beautifully!!! Glad the kids all had fun and Declan looks like he was just enjoying himself so much! Thanks for sharing your vacation and creations! Cami

Oh My Gosh this is AMAZING!!! - Seriously I just adore everything about this card. You know I am a HUGE lover of Strawberries so if you feel the need to send this card to someone I'd be more then happy to receive it!

I can understand why you would be terrified to have Declan missing. The few times Coleen has "hidden" on Grandma have scared me to death so I know how you felt.
Sorry about the tour being a bust but it does sound like you are keeping busy and enjoying your summer. We're SWEATING here in the PNW with over the top temperatures right now.

OMG, I can't even imagine the panic state you were in. I've felt that twice in my life, once with my oldest, and again with my first Grandson. I'm so glad it all turned out well. WHEW! Sorry about the tour, but glad you're having fun!
Great challenge this week!

O.K.......So how come I always have to be the one asking the prying questions about your cards??? I have both of these stamps, and have studied and used the Strawberry Tilda, but have come to the conclusion that cutting around all sides of that long stemmed flower would be next to impossible!! So here comes your gorgeous card with the flower, leaves, and stem cut out to perfection. So what is the secret, Kerry? Did you give up caffeine for two weeks prior to touching your scissors? Did you lock yourself in a quiet, soundproof room so that you could not hear Maeve yelling, "Mommy" just as your scissors started to round that corner towards the top of the stem? Inquiring minds want to know!!
Love your vacation pics and stories. More Please. Linda S. in NE

Oh Bless your kids hearts Kerry. Your pictures are just priceless. I love the one of this tuckered out after their day of fun. My heart feels for you, I know you thought you would have a heartattack when your little fella strolled off...especially around water! I got to tell you even after they are grown if they are sick, hurt or in danger you still feel it as a momma. Hang tough girlfriend!
Your card is beautiful. Your coloring is perfect as usual. I love your paper! Just too cute.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
