Most weeks I wait until Wednesday night to start thinking about what I am going to do for this week's challenge. This week was no exception! LOL! Fortunately, the Gorjuss Girl stamps I ordered came yesterday. And I thought this one would look adorable perched atop some letters. And as luck would have it, I had this BFF paper from My Minds Eye in my stash. :)
I am, as always, playing catch up. I have gotten terrible at keeping up on blogs. I have great intentions...but...
So I just popped in to our former 3CT girl, Elena's, blog. I was extremely saddened and horrified to read it. Why? you ask. Was there an accident? Did someone die? No...but someone did get hurt. Elena was hurt. Can you believe that someone had left her an insensitive comment about her work?! First of all, Elena's cards are always FANTASTIC! Secondly, anyone who reads Elena's blog must know what a wonderful soul she has. She is always so sweet and kind. Always thoughtful of others and always makes you smile. Finally, what would make someone leave a negative comment on a stamping blog?
I know that Elena, Unfortunately, is not the first person who has had to deal with this. If you (you=anyone) are at someone's blog and their project doesn't float your boat, then
just move on. No one wants to know if you don't like their work. We are talking about stamping and card making. Something that is suppose to bring joy for the maker and the receiver! Stamping, just like "fine art", is personal. It's all in the eye of the beholder. And when we (we= anyone) share our art on the internet, whether it be on a blog or a forum or gallery or where ever, we are sharing what we love. Personal Expression. And yes, I do realize that in America we are also allowed to say and feel what we want....but why share a negative comment when the only thing achieved is hurting someone's feelings? I just do not understand why someone would be so bitter and spiteful. It makes me sad. We are not talking about Political blogs. Or hate based blogs. Or radical blogs. Just people sharing cards, paper projects and ideas. So please please please remember what your mama taught you (or should have!): If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.Have a Kindhearted Day!
