Greetings from snowy Massachusetts! Yep, another foot of snow is being dumped on us today. Yep, the kids are home from school. Again. Happy March! LOL!

On to sunnier subjects...I am finally starting to feel better. Praise God! I am especially thankful that I was feeling better on Sunday as I had my Copic Certification class. Yay! I am officially "certified" or is that certifiable!? LOL! So ya know what that means? Yep, I got a cool new button for my blog. The End. ;)

Last week I received a surprise gift in my mailbox. It was this stamp set from the lovely and talented Tori Wild. Isn't she sweet?! I love the little step dancer, because my darling daughter, Orla does Irish Step dancing. As did my sisters and even my parents. I, on the other hand, am severely rhythmatically challenged. It is rather sad. lol! Have you ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine dances? That's me. Actually, I am not sure if I am even that good! heeheehee

This card was made for TechnoStampers Monday's Sketch Challenge. Head on over to MJ's blog to check out the original sketch and check out the other cards!

Have a Paradisiacal Monday!!!

When I first saw this stamp set from SUink I immediately knew I wanted to make a card with this idea. It just cracked me up! Plus I always feel like a nice way to justify buying stamps is if they have a multipurpose. So this is a great Christmas set. But look! It can be used throughout the year for things like this. I will have something later this week that uses this set in a non-holiday way too.

I left the inside blank, I figured if I were sending this to someone a pic with a bun in the oven and a "congratulations" they likely know they are pregos...so 'nuff said! LOL!

Like the little bun that I drew? Can you hear the stamp companies beating down my door asking me to design stamp sets for them?! what? you don't hear anything? hmmm...me either! lol! My "bun" looks more like a muffin. Hey! there is a reason I use rubber stamps and don't hand draw my cards! LOL!

Well, I spent last evening cleaning up my craft room. Hopefully I can be somewhat more productive now. It was such a disaster! If I had put Maeve down in there, I think I would have lost her! LOL! But I won't make a New Year's resolution to try and keep it clean...that will just set me up for disappointment in a couple of weeks when it is a disaster again. ;) I don't like broken promises! Do you make resolutions?

Do you know that a year ago I was hardly stamping at all anymore? I had lost my enthusiasm and mojo. If you notice on my sidebar the blogaversary countdown is getting close to my big day. That is when Mary Jo (unknowingly) lit a fire under my stamping butt and I started a stamp blog. I said I would do her weekly sketch challenges with her. Eventually the whole blog thing starts to take on a life of its own...and I am happily stamping away again.

What do you want to do this 2009? (no resolutions though!)

I'm dreaming of a glittery Christmas!

Ink: Memento Black; Creamy Caramel; Copics (no pic do to weather emergency!) :-)
Other: Lots of Star Dust and Frosted Lace Stickles; unknown snowflake ribbon; SU! rhinestone brads; Aqua brads from MM; Scallop edge punch from SU!; CB embossing folder

Did I mention how cute this little house from SUink is?! The trees and the star are from the same set. If you are really into scene building on your cards, you could do a big card (5x7) and add several houses to make a village with the Santa and reindeer flying over. However, I thought that I'd revisit TSSC#43 and use this layout again. Do you remember it from here, here, here, here and here? hahahaha...what can I say, it works for me!

Sorry that this is a late post again. I usually post the night before, but we went up to NH yesterday to go on the Polar Express. The kids had a lot of fun. It was very magical! However, we had a HUGE snowstorm here yesterday. What would have been a 2 hour drive (each way) was a 3.5 hour drive there and the same coming back. It was a long stressful ride! And my DH is a horrible backseat driver...I thought I would open the door and shove him out of the car at one point. I restrained myself...but it took a lot of effort! LOL!
We have just been slammed with winter weather here in the past 2 weeks...I am already feeling that "I'm done with this weather!" feeling. I usually don't feel that way until mid Feb. Well one thing about New England is that we experience each season to the fullest! ;)

Have a Dazzling Monday!

Whew! I'm baaaaaack! We had a big ice storm here last Thursday night-Friday AM. I was down in my craft room in the wee hours of the night (3am) and the lights went out. We just got power back Tuesday night at 7:30! Cable/Internet just came back about an hour ago! ( I am pre-typing several posts on Word, so that I can copy and paste and get them up ASAP!) No internet! I have been like an addict in withdrawal! I think I even had the shakes and sweats and all! LOL! Just Kidding...but I have not been a happy camper. Do you know how much I depend on Google? I Google everything!

In all seriousness, though, we are very fortunate. My DH was able to bring home a generator from his work, so we had heat and some power. (Like our fridge). And aside from some large branches and 1 tree down on our property there was no serious damage. (Thankfully a large branch missed out little goat house by only a few feet.) While driving around we saw lots of big trees down. Some roads are still impassible and our school district has canceled classes until January 5th. That's when the kids would have returned after the Christmas vacation. They were scheduled to go to school through December 23rd. (I know school vacation schedules vary throughout the country) Now it appears that Dec.10th was there last full day.

Anyhooooooooo, before I was interrupted, I did finish my blogger's challenge for last Friday- I just never got to post it. I didn't want to add too many embellies, I think too much would have taken away from the images and word. What do you think...does it need more? I love this little snow covered house. I just might have another card coming that uses it...hint-hint.

Please forgive the quality of my photos. I wasn't working with my usual lighting etc...

Well, by Monday night, I started bringing some of my stamps upstairs where I had light, so I do have a few more cards to share with you before Christmas. I might have had more...but with Maeve and Declan trying to "help", it slowed me down. (For the record: They seem to like my precious Copics as much as I do! YIKES!)

Have an ELECTRIFYING Tuesday!! I know that I sure will...now! ;-)

Brrrrrrr....I hope that you are keeping warm! It's a chilly 10 degrees here right now. And now they are talking about a Nor'easter for Friday. Let the shoveling begin!

But I am trying to think warm thoughts...like baking. mmmmm...mmmmmmm! Have I ever mentioned how much I love baked goodies like brownies and cookies?? mmmmmmm....
Oh yeah, stamping...you want to read about stamping...How perfect is this cute set from SUink for someone like me?! I have several Christmas and non-Christmas ideas with this set, but I definitely wanted to use the gingerbread house...it's scrumptious! Now that I am looking at this card on my computer though, I wish I had layered the GB house on the Forest Foliage CS...to make it pop. Next time! I did add a little teensie bit of liquid pearl to the "snowy frosting" parts of the house. Just to give it a little something. I was trying to keep a homespun look going on here, so I didn't want to add too much. I paper-pieced this little gal's dress. All three DP's that I used on this card come from an CTMH pack. These were the papers that my friend didn't want. I probably wouldn't have picked these out myself, but the small, subtle patterns worked really well with this card and I was glad to have them.

The second picture to the right is the inside of the card.

Guess who showed up at my door today? The Fed Ex man. Delivering a nice box of more lovely Copics. wheeeeeee! If my husband finds out how much money I have spent on MARKERS he will likely kick my fanny out! LOL! Anyone looking for a roomate? ummm, I come with 3 kids and 2 dogs, though. Hubby will keep the goats. ;) But I will share my markers with you! hahahaha

Have a Delectable Tuesday!

Wowzers! It's December 1st! Seriously, what the heck happened to November?! December means 2 things to me: the countdown to Christmas is on...(yikes!)...and I have the honor of being a Guest Design Team Member for Storage Units Ink & More! When Mary Jo (Suink DT coordinator) emailed me about this I just about passed out. I am so flattered (what an understatement!) that MJ and Denise (owner of SUink) think that my work is good enough to be a guest designer for SUink stamps!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this set called Deer Ol' Santa. Is this Santa in his sleigh ADORABLE or what?! Every image in this set is super cute. I am going to try to use every single one of them before Christmas comes. In fact there are so many cute reindeer that I needed to go on to the inside of this card to fit at least one more in. (inside is pictured to the right)

So how was your Thanksgiving Holiday? We had a nice time down the Cape. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. We had a lovely meal. And it was nice to spend time with My mom and Tricia. We all missed you, Katie. (xoxoxo) I am going to leave it at that and not complain about how hard it was to get the kids to sleep at night...or the other 'less than fun' moments. Oh wait, my blogging friend Chrissy would call them "character building oppotunites". I like that. Hmmmmm, I must be full of character! LOL!

As you can probably tell by the picture to the left, most (all less one), would like to know what color Copics I use. You can click on the pic to see it larger. The Ciao marker is R59 Cardinal. I hope that this is helpful.

Don't forget to head over to Mary Jo's blog to see the original sketch for this weeks card. Plus you will find links to others who have participated! While you are there, throw her some get well wishes and prayers as she has not been feeling well lately.

Well it is 3:45 in the morning...so I need to get off to bed since I need to be up at 7 am to get the kids off to school.

Have a Resplendent Monday!
