Yahooooo! It's Friday! That means it's bloggers challenge day! This weeks blogger's challenge theme is templates or die cuts. For some reason, though, I had in my head that it was texture. Oooooooooops! So I really wanted to focus on the texture of the card. That is why I kept this kind of plain. I thought the paisley embossing on white cardstock and even the Flower Soft were great ways to showcase texture. Yeaaaah...too bad that isn't the theme for this week! However, I did use nestabilities dies. I don't know if that even really counts. Sorry to my BC girlfriends! However, if you all want to see fantabulous projects using templates or dies, click here to start visiting the BC girls.

I made the hat pin myself. All the materials are available at Joann's. They sell the pins and I picked up a grab bag of beads for about $4. You can get both the Sweetheart Tilda and the Alota Basket at Magnolia-liscious. The 2 green copics pictured are not shown on this card. I had colored some grass under the basket, then decided to add the Flower Soft, after taking the pic.

Any plans for the weekend? We are headed down to the Cape (Cod) to do some yard work (weather permitting) on the house we bought down there. Don't forget me if you are looking to rent a vacation home in Hyannis!! ;) You can view it here. Hey! It never hurts to spread the word, right?! LOL!

Speaking of vacations...I think my mojo went on vacation! I feel like I hate every card I've made for about 2 weeks. I've really been struggling with papers, layouts...everything! If anyone see's my mojo, please contact me ASAP! Thanks! :P

Well, it's 3 AM...so I better keep this short and be off to bed. hmmm...I wonder why I am so tired all the time!? LOL!

Have a Fantastical Friday!

Slainte Mhath!

Good Mornin' to all ye lovely lads and lasses! This will probably will be a long post, as there is lots of business to take care of today.

First things first: Today is St. Patrick's Day. Patrick was a male. His nickname would have been PaDDy. Not PaTTy or PaTTIE. Patty and Pattie are nicknames for a woman. You have no idea how much this irritates me to see things (like stamp sets or whatever) with those T's.
Why are there D's? Probably because the Irish version is Padraig (pronounced paw drig). So please, now that you know be sure to use PADDY. :)

Ok, now that we've taken care of that, on to the card. :)
Not what I had planned. I had colored Edwin and his basket of clovers a couple of weeks ago while I was stamping at Kristen's house. At the time I realized that Edwin could not really sit on his basket like I had planned because the basket narrows towards the bottom and Edwin would be at an angle. I tried and tried, but he never looked right. But after having these images sitting on my desk for all this time, they were being used! After all, look at all those clovers I colored! LOL!
I used Mary Jo's sketch for this week to put this card together. It was a simple sketch and I didn't fuss with it. Head on over Mary Jo's blog to see the sketch, see what others have created using the sketch and participate too!

You didn't really come here today for my chit chat did you? You want to know who won the Martha Stewart punches and images?!
Well, let me say that you people are not that good at guessing how many candies are in a jar! LOL! I even gave you a hint by telling you that it was a 1 quart jar. I even had my friend Kristen go in and comment with a clue. Still...not many of you came even close! LOL! In fact, only 5 of you were within the +/- correct number. With not one person guessing the actual amount.

Number of Kisses:
127

By random drawing (from the 5) the winner is:
Debbie Fisher!

Congrats Debbie!!

Thanks to everyone that played!
