OOOOh! I loved this sketch! I thought it was fun! I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but the Summer Sun/yellow is actually the inside of the card. This was part of the sketch.
This plucky chick comes from one of my all time favorite SU! sets: Walk This Way. It was for sale only briefly in a summer mini (maybe spring) from 2005. I don't know why they never brought back to the big catty... oh well.
I was at a crop a few weeks ago when I made these cards, I didn't have an appropriate sentiment with me so a lovely lady, Sarah, gave me this rub on.
It was the week before Mother's Day, so I took the opportunity to use this sketch to make a card for my mom too. My friend's Mary and Peggy (sisters) had bought the Bloomin' Beautiful Set from the current SU! mini. It is a set that I think is gorgeous, but has several other similiar sets already, so I passed on it. But I enjoyed using their set! I do love Hydrangeas! You can't tell from the pic, but I put a small dot of Stickles in the center of each blossom.
