TechnoStampers Sketch #42

Stamps: Gnome and Sentiment by Stampendous
Paper:
Real Red; Glorious Green; White; DP by unknown

Ink:
Memento Black; Copics

Other:
Nesties; little gem stickers by Stampendous; Red brads

Monday= A new sketch challenge by Mary Jo AKA TechnoStamper!

I usually try to stick very closely to the sketch that we are given. But I just wasn't feeling the tag look. So I cheated a little. But after I scanned this card I thought it would have been easy to snip the top corners off. Oh well...Next time!
How was your weekend? I did try that Apple Pancake recipe yesterday...it was OK, a little bland. Not as yummy as it seemed when someone else made it for me! LOL! I thought it could have used a little cinnamon. again: oh well...next time! My DH, Pat, liked it.

Here is a couple of pictures of 2 of my little pumpkins. Orla was a "50's Girl" and Maeve was a Patriots Cheerleader.
Whenever I take out the camera Orla starts posing like she is doing a photo shoot for Cosmo and Maeve starts to scrunch her face up and say "cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!"

So that's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow.

Have a Magnificent Monday!

Bloggers Challenge #63: Color Challenge

Stamps: Gnome by Stampendous; sentiment by Amuse
Paper: Pacific Blue; Tangerine Tango; Black; Confetti White; Bella Rosa DSP
Ink:
Pacific Blue; Tangerine Tango; Kiwi Kiss; Ridinghood Red; Black

Other:
White brads; Ruby Red button

This weeks bloggers challenge was to use Pacific Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding hood Red together. (or similar colors if you don't have these) This was truly a challenge for me! I don't think I normally use this many colors on my cards. And all these bold colors are outside of my comfort zone.
So I got out my little gnome friend and stamped him four times, (2 are cut out and pop dotted). The next challenge was figuring out how to get all the paper colors on there...I always feel the need to match my ink colors to my paper colors. I can't just have random colors around there without tying them into the rest of the card! I know, I have issues with everything always having to be a certain way. (but this is only the tip of the issues iceberg! lol) So after cutting up and wasting a lot of cs and dsp I decided I needed to make another 5x7 card. I have been making so many this size lately...they seem so BIG! Anyhow, this is what I ended up with. It always seems like the cards that I spend the most time on always end up being nothing great!

PS-How do you like my new banner and personalized sig? They were both designed by Michelle Laycock. She was great to work with and quick too! Click on her banner in the right column to order yours!

Sketch 31 and Blog Yummies

Stamps: Fairy Nice by SU!
Paper:
Imaginisce DSP; Pink P
irouette; Lavender Lace; White
Ink: Black; Pink Pirouette; Lavender Lace; Certainly Celery and Barely Banana; White
other: Nesties; PIP eyelets; PIP and LL buttons; Cuttlebug embossing folder; Stardust Stickles

Almost always, I finish a card put it aside, look at it late and wish I had added this, not done that....This card was no exception. I wish I had done a pink scalloped border around the striped paper...and at least matted the embossed piece...ah well...next time. This card is actually cuter IRL. Sparkly. Some of the stripes have sparkle on them. And the Fairy is all decked out in sparkles. Here is a close up. (Remember you can click on any pic to see it larger.

I liked this TechnoStamper sketch so much that I made 2.5 cards with it. (I will post the .5 later this week.) Apparently Mary Jo and I were on the same wavelength because we both used our images that we received as Mystery Image Challenge.

Stamps: Stampendous
Paper: Bo Bunny DSP; Tangerine Tango; Pacific Blue; White; Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Black; Tangerine Tango; Pacific Blue; White; Kiwi Kiss; So Saffron; Baja Breeze; Creamy Caramel
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder; Crystal Effects; MM brads; Nesties; Scallop border punch

Ida (visit her blog) had sent me this image. Ha Ha Ida. She knows how I just adore cats. (NOT!)

I was assigned to make her a card in a recent card challenge, so I thought I would use this cat and send it back to her.

I hope she likes it!

Happy Spring!

This is a card I made for my pal,Leigh O'Brien. Leigh and I decided to do a little 1:1 Gnome Card Swap. She likes the Gnomes too. {If you open your heart, you will love them too! ;) } You can see the card she made for me on her blog.

You do love Gnomes, you say?! oooh! Then look what I got at Joann's yesterday! They had several different ones. In 2 different sizes. This is the larger one. he is about 16 inches tall. the other was about 6 inches tall...perfect for a desk. I wanted all of them in both sizes...but, I don't think my DH would have found that reasonable. :(

But look at that face.....who could resist. Oh, hmmm....DH can. oh
well.
