Hello! So glad that you came back for another 3 Clovers Thursday!
A little while back I gave the 3 Clovers Challenge Girls a list of the challenge all the way through September. This is the only one that sent them into a tizzy! LOL!! Nothing else phased them... (and Elena came up with a challenge that is VERY INTERESTING...check back next week for that one!) But the simplicity of NOT having ANY layers on a card made them fret. Here were their reactions:
- Sharon: "OH MY!! Isn't that like against nature or something??"
- Ida : " Seriously, I'm not sure I can do a no-layer card."
- Kristen: "I definitely will have trouble with that. I am the paper queen!"
- Sue tried to remain level headed: "There might be a whole lot of masking going on. LOL!"
- I heard nothing from Mary Jo, Elena, and Lisa....I thought they might just quit on me! LOL!
Then, I joined the Hanna Stamps DT and what do you know? An upcoming challenge was no layers. So I got to practice a little. They are here. And you know what? It wasn't so bad! I tried telling the girls...but they were still skeptical. They were pretty positive that I have some evil plan to destroy them. Finally this week came. They all made a card for this challenge.
- Sue jumped right in and had her SUPER SWEET card ready on Monday!
- Sharon was next and admitted: "I must say that it's not NEAR as bad as I thought it was going to be!".
- Lisa, who initially seemed unphased by this challenge said: ."I'm the queen of layers, so this one really pushed me out of my comfort zone...Thanks for that needed push Kerry"
- Unfortunately, Elena had second thoughts and deleted hers before I could even see it! Apparently, she just couldn't go through with it! LOL!
- Mary Jo is a harder nut to crack! She made an awesome card...but still said: "mine is HORRIBLE, but I am still posting it because I am out of time, lol. "
- Ida got so crafty that I thought she cheated and used designer paper....I made her explain herself! Nope. No DP! You'll have to head over to her blog to find out how she got her results.
- Kristen....Kristen cheated. tsk...tsk...tsk! Good thing that she is my BFF and I just told her that although her card was lovely...I couldn't use it. She had stamped her image on another piece of card stock, cut it out and pop dotted the image....uh-uh-uh....that's another layer! So she surprised me by making a new card today! And I think it's even prettier than the original!
I hope that you will join us in this week's challenge!
Both of these cards were made with stamps that Hanna Stamps released just this week! A surprise release! The one on top uses Liberty Riley. The one down here uses a fabulous Breast Cancer Awareness set! Be sure to check them both out!!

I love them both, Kerry! Riley looks fabulous all dressed in red and blue, and your breast cancer awareness card is beautiful! I agree with MJ, you have quite the talent with these no layer cards! Awesome work as ALWAYS!
You made me laugh with all of your quotes from all of us. :) hugs!
I love this Liberty Riley card. So adorable.
Kerry your Riley is so adorable!!! Both your cards are great. So not fair that you had time to "practice" this technique. It was a challenge but I'm glad that I persevered with it.

Hiya Kerry! I don't usually make any comments here, but I had to comment on Liberty Riley...TOO CUTE!!!!! I love how you made your card with the buttons at the bottom, and the ribbon at the top, your coloring, etc... Just too cute! :)
Great card! I just did some of these the other day and posted some, but have one I haven't posted yet.
Loved reading this post..isn't it funny how some things send us into a tizzy? I'll see if I can try this one or not as my Mom is going to be visiting.
I'm a dork and forgot to say that I love both the cards, very nice!
Okay, girl...your cards are adorable but I see your Liberty Riley and Raise you a Liberty Sophia!
