Hi! Thanks for stopping by today!! Happy April Fools Day! Happy Birthday to me!
So today is my birthday. I am finally 21! (snicker!!) I don't have long to type this up as my husband has rented a private jet to whisk me off to Paris for a day of pampering and a romantic birthday dinner. I think President and Mrs. Obama will be meeting us there. aaaahhh!
woof! woof! WOOF! WOOOOOOF! whhaaaa...Mamaaaa! MaaaaaMaaaaaaaa! MAAAAMAAAA!! Wooooooof! huh? what's that? Oh, reality! I am 30-something. Maeve's whining and pushing buttons on my printer making windows pop up while I try to type this. The dogs are making me nuts barking at each other. The toilet is clogged. Laundry still needs to be done. Floors need to be swept. Dirty diapers still need to be changed. Noses need to be wiped. I'll be lucky if I get in the shower...never mind a day of pampering. LOL!! Well, Maeve is into giving us all manicures with her pen that is attached to her magna-doodle...so I probably will have a mani and a pedi today. LOL! Don't be jealous of my glamorous life and lavish birthday plans! LOL! I use to get depressed on my birthday. I think it use to always be a let down. Finally, years ago, I woke up and realized that only I care that today is my birthday! LOL! and if I want to whoooooop it up on my birthday I better make the plans...if I make no plans (which I don't) then don't expect it to be confetti and streamers all day. :) Now I actually enjoy my birthday more. No let down. And I have made many good friends in "real life" and online that have sent me many birthday wishes. Thank You!!!
Onto business: I made this card for the Magnolia-licious April Sketch Challenge. Anyone and Everyone can participate. Email Diana a .jpeg of your card that uses this months sketch and Magnolia images, she will post it in the gallery. Then she will randomly choose a winner for a surprise treat! Yay! Every month a design team member provides a sketch....I think this one is by Claudia. Several of my past cards have used these lovely sketches.
I used another image from my Spring Stamp Club that is now available individually for pre-order at Magnolia-licious. There are also additional stamps that we did not receive in the Stamp Club kit. CAAA-UUUTE! You can see the whole Chasing Butterflies Collection HERE. Also all orders (no matter the amount) in Canada and the USA will now receive FREE shipping. AND per Diana: "now every order will contain a treat so always check out your envelope. The larger the order the larger the treat." WoooHooo! Ya think its cupcakes or brownies!?! You know that's what I think is a real treat!! LOL! hmmm...probably not....probably paper crafting related. ;)
****edited to add that I did the mirror image of the butterfly grass by stamping the image onto a flat square stamp that I dug up and then stamped that onto my cardstock. This is my first time attempting this. It worked! The image wasn't as crisp and dark as if I stamped the image directly....but once colored in it looks OK. ****
Oh my gosh....Maeve really is extra whiney and climbing all over me. I am sorry if this post is not all coherent! I am sure there are a bunch of typos. And I really do have to get into the shower. (which will be fun with Maeve staning outside of it screaming.) My mom is taking me out to lunch. Yummers!
Have a Sensational Day!!
