Yahooooo! It's Friday! That means it's bloggers challenge day! This weeks blogger's challenge theme is templates or die cuts. For some reason, though, I had in my head that it was texture. Oooooooooops! So I really wanted to focus on the texture of the card. That is why I kept this kind of plain. I thought the paisley embossing on white cardstock and even the Flower Soft were great ways to showcase texture. Yeaaaah...too bad that isn't the theme for this week! However, I did use nestabilities dies. I don't know if that even really counts. Sorry to my BC girlfriends! However, if you all want to see fantabulous projects using templates or dies, click here to start visiting the BC girls.
I made the hat pin myself. All the materials are available at Joann's. They sell the pins and I picked up a grab bag of beads for about $4. You can get both the Sweetheart Tilda and the Alota Basket at Magnolia-liscious. The 2 green copics pictured are not shown on this card. I had colored some grass under the basket, then decided to add the Flower Soft, after taking the pic.
Any plans for the weekend? We are headed down to the Cape (Cod) to do some yard work (weather permitting) on the house we bought down there. Don't forget me if you are looking to rent a vacation home in Hyannis!! ;) You can view it here. Hey! It never hurts to spread the word, right?! LOL!
Speaking of vacations...I think my mojo went on vacation! I feel like I hate every card I've made for about 2 weeks. I've really been struggling with papers, layouts...everything! If anyone see's my mojo, please contact me ASAP! Thanks! :P
Well, it's 3 AM...so I better keep this short and be off to bed. hmmm...I wonder why I am so tired all the time!? LOL!
Have a Fantastical Friday!

Gorgeous card. I loved all the coloring.
I also love your vacation home. Super nice too. :)
Hi Kerry,
You are tired cause you stay up late nights like I do to get cards made or finished! LOL
How wonderful you have a second home at CAPE COD!!! I will be sure to let people know who are important - you know - the ones with money LOL LOL
Now to your card. I have never seen a basket coloured that well before you get an A+ from me on that. I also love the addition of the flower soft at the bottom of the basket. The card is great - sorry you read it wrong for the challenge - but you have a winner there!
Well the mojo isn't missing too much - this card is gold. I really love your colours.
:) Marcia
Hi Kerry, It is 3:20am at my house right now. I am such a night owl....do my best work between 11 and 4:30ish. It is such a luxury to be able to do it!! We live out in the country, so other than a nearby train track, it is pretty quiet when I am sleeping. But take my word....it is no Hyannis!! You will find your mojo if you can get rested, and get away from your specialty for awhile. It is amazing what a change of scenery can do for us. Enjoy, and don't overdo out in the yard. Oh Yeah, Nestabilities are dies, so your card is qualified. Linda S. in NE
