Happy Monday! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
We had an uneventful weekend. DH and I laid down 2 more floors. At least this week my muscles aren't paying for it! hahahaha
We did the whole cookout and fireworks thing too.

Somewhere in there I worked on this weeks sketch from Mary Jo. And I found this one tough! What is that woman thinking?!


I took a look at this and was like: uuuummm...never mind this is too hard...I won't participate this week! But I figured that is all the reason I should do this and challenge myself. This sketch made me think of legos...but I couldn't think of what to do with it.

Anyhooooo, after starting 2 other cards and not liking them, I made this. Still, I don't love this....I think the flowers take away from the main image. I added glitter to the cake to bring more attention to that image...but I dunno know....




aaaaargh! As I have been typing and editing this post, the phone rang: it was my DH, he is at Home Depot and needed me to measure something. While I am doing that my "sweet little Maeve" mauled my card! She tore a pony tail off and most of the flowers!! I had it right next to my keyboard so that I can do the details....aaaaargh! this is the 2nd card in a week she has gotten a hold of! aaaah...life with an 18 month old. Good thing she is so dang CUTE!
