Card Challenge

Stamps: Simply Said
Colors: Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal
Other: eyelets, cuttlebug embossing folder,
celery and white ribbon, white gel pen, Marvy scallop punch

This was made for a card challenge. We were given a sketch from a recent Take Ten magazine.
Is there a color combo that you always go back to? You try to do something new, but keep coming back? This is one of my favorite color combos. Especially when I am thinking spring. You know, I have a favorite combo for each season! I sat with my color wheel and tried to pick something else, but I just couldn't! So as the spring approaches expect to see these colors on this blog a few more times. :)

For Christmas, I got a (ok, bought myself!) a janome mini sewing machine. I have not tried sewing on cards before. I have some quilting and sewing....but not for a long time. And you know what? I am a BAD sewer! seriously, I tried sewing around the circle, I tried sewing straight I tried a straight stitch, a zig zag. I am just bad! There will be alot more practice before I can show you anything that I have sewed. Maybe I will have to go back to the old MOP (messy on purpose) theory when it comes to sewing! hahahahahahaha

Kerry,

I absolutely love the colors, they are perfect for you card! And then another thing I really like is how you "cuttlebugged" both layers of the circle at the same time (I think). Looks great!
