Hello, My Friends! Thanks for coming by today! How are you doing on this Wednesday? It is pouring rain here. A nice day to stay in my jammies. :)
I made this project for the World Card Making Day Celebration over on SCS this weekend. The Magnolia-licious challenge was to make an ornament. This isn't quite a Christmas tree ornament as it measure about 10-12 inches square. The snowflake is made out of thick white chipboard. I forget who makes them, but I have hasd it for several years. I have 3 of them...so expect to see 2 more before Christmas. heeheehee!
I painted it with Making Memories Glitter Glaze then sprinkled some extra blue glitter around it. Then I added various rhinestones (pink, white and lavender) to the tips It is VERY sparkly in real life. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you'll get a better idea of the sparkle.
The stamp is from Magnolia and available HERE at Magnolia-licious. How sweet is this frosty friend?! I was in the middle of a stamping frenzy this weekend and can't find my little piece of paper that I wrote the Copic colors on....but I can give you most of the colors from memory. COPICS USED WERE: snow highlights: B00, B0000....Scarf: V17,15,12......earmuffs:G21....I think the background color I used to look like a glow of yellow light was y21 and y0000....buttons and cheeks were R81.
Then I just punched a hole in the top and finished it off with some organdy ribbon. Voila!
Speaking of Christmas.....can you believe that there is already Christmas stuff out in the store?! Unbelievable!
Have a Dynamite Wednesday!

Gorgeous project, Kerry! This would look wonderful as a window decoration if it's too big for a tree ornament. I have to tell you about my duh moment. I was reading your post and got to the part about the Copic colors. I got to "snow highlights: B00, B0000" and thought this doesn't look like a Halloween project. What is she talking about? I guess that's what I get for reading things at work when I'm supposed to be busy with "other" things. LOL! Make it a wonderful day!
