Hello! Happy Thursday! I hope that you have been enjoying your week! I have not been posting much as I have been working on some projects that I cannot share yet....Some will be shared in the few days for Hanna Stamps Sneak peeks and some will have to wait until after CHA. :)

I love the color combination of Red, White and Blue! It always feels so celebratory! I hope that whether you are celebrating the 4th of July or not that you will join in on this challenge. I made this card a Birthday card. Just to show you that it need not be an American Holiday card exclusively. I used the Student Tilda stamp that I got from Magnolia-licious. I have to admit that this stamp stumped me a little. Student Tilda? wearing a cap and drinking champagne?! To me she kind of looked like she belonged on a yacht. LOL! I know that the Swedish and Finnish readers of this blog must think I am an idiot...but I never knew that swedish students wore these caps. And I certainly didn't understand what champagne and students had to do with one another! In the USA we are actively working against young people drinking alcohol. LOL! So before I started typing this post I Googled away trying to figure out this Student Tilda. I love Google! So apparently students where these hats. I don't know if they actually wear them every day of the school year...or just to celebrate. And I don't know if all ages wear them or just the graduating class or older classes. The champagne is significant because traditionally the graduating class starts out their last day with a champagne breakfast. Nice! I got some soggy pancakes and OJ from my school! LOL! Anyhoooo, I thought that she'd be cute in Red, White and Blue. With that glass of champagne she is definitely celebrating something! A party girl! LOL!

For the card I decided to use this weeks sketch from the Friday Sketchers Blog. I took a little creative liberty and replaced the bottom left flower with the CHEERS. I really wish I had some star punches or dies...but since I don't I used my new daisy die that I got and tried to make a fun little firework flower thingy up there in the right. What do you think? This card just didn't call out for realistic flowers to me. To soften the harshness of the white I added caramel ink to where ever there was white. Including Tilda's cap and socks. I also added just a little Star Dust stickles to her champagne glass. Gotta add some sparkle to her bubbly! Oh and the blue collar of her dress is paper pieced. I had to stamp it about 10 times on the star paper to get the stars on there in an acceptable way. That is what makes clear stamps so nice...you can see exactly where you want to stamp. Not so easy with the rubber.

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to check out what I have made and this week's 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge!

Have a Spectacular Thursday!
