Hello! How is everyone today? I hope that you all had a delightful weekend! As you probably guessed, it rained here. But we did get some sun until about 4:30/5:00 on Saturday afternoon. Then we had some severe T-storms and downpours. That's ok...I am sure the tadpoles enjoyed it! LOL! Sunday was very overcast, but only some drizzly rain here and there. So Pat got the pool skimmer thingy that is on a long pole and went Frog Fishin'! I had this nice idea that we would catch them and put them into a bucket of water and release them into the pond that is about a mile from our house. Pat asked me if I were nuts! He said that the pool cover was full of leaves and he was scooping out leaves and tadpoles together and he wasn't going to pick the tadpoles out so they could come back and lay more eggs next year. Everything was going in the trash bucket. :( So I said, "we will do it with the ones that are in the pool and not the cover, at least, right?" "Yeah right," he replied "When I throw all the chemicals in they'll be dead and we'll just shovel them off the bottom or out of the skimmer." I gasped in horror! It's not that I am a tree frog lover....I just like animals in general. I think of them all as having human-like traits. Pat, however, grew up on a farm. He does not think of animals the same way I do. If animals cannot be used for food or a function, then they are pests. That is peSTS not pets. OK, so these frogs ARE a pest. And I wasn't going to go out there and pick them out either...so I couldn't argue too much. But I feel bad. And mark my words, they'll be something on the news next summer that the Gray Tree Frog population in Massachusetts is down and it's some kind of detriment to our local environment somehow. Then I will be blaming it all on myself for not picking them out of the bucket! Anyhow, I will try to get out there this week and take some pictures to share....while they are ALIVE. I am sure you can't wait for that! LOL!

Ok! Enough toad talk. heeheeheee Onto the first card: I got this Motivet stamp at the beginning of June at the Stamp Expo that I went to. Motivet was there...we were so excited because at that time they didn't ship to the USA. (they are located in Canada) But now they do ship to the USA! All month I just haven't had the chance to use it. I finally made the time tonight...but I should have been doing other things! Isn't Doraline the cutest?!?! I used the sketch from the Motivet Blog for this card. At the same stamp expo I saw this sentiment stamp. It reminded me of Maeve. That was at the pique of her "difficult-ness". LOL! I thought I would stamp this with Staz On on her forehead! LOL! Just Kidding! Then I saw this particular Motivet stamp and it too reminded me of Maeve. Because she totally knows how to work me when she is in trouble. Usually a smile, a hug, and a "I love you, Mummy!" and I am melted like butter. She's my third child and I don't sleep well...so I am weak!

Now about the designer paper. I have to thank Jacque for this....She made a project with this paper and I HAD TO HAVE IT. Needed it. So I asked her where could I get some. She said, "oh, I bought from a store in the Netherlands and it's retired." I asked her when she went to the Netherlands? She had a good laugh. She directed me to a website. Yep, they no longer sold it. so I started searching the internet for it. There must be another pack out there! There was. On the Netherlands Ebay. I emailed the seller and asked if they shipped to the USA...they said no problem. YAY! Tonight was my first time putting to use and I do LOVE it! It's so pretty! I love blue and yellow together. It comes in a European size: 8.25 inches x 11.50 inches. the pack has about 8 patterns. Each pattern comes in 5 sheets of paper quality...then 5 sheets of a light card stock...kind of. So 10 sheets of each pattern. I paid about $15 (US) with shipping for it. Not too bad. It's funny how I paid less to get it shipped from the Netherlands than it would cost me to get something shipped with in the US. And it came in a pretty timely manner.

Card number 2 uses Mary Jo's Sketch for this week. It would be perfect for so many images! I could use it with my larger images, like Tilda's, or I sized it down and used it for this cute Riley image! So hop on over to MJ's blog and join in on the fun! Next Monday night Hanna Stamps is releasing the new stamps for July! I will have sneak peaks next weekend, starting Friday! This card uses paper from 2 retired SU! packs. There was a glare off the markers in the picture, so I typed in the info for you.

Hmmmm....I should probably go to bed now since Pat has just come down from bed to go to work! 3:45 AM!

Have Marvelous Monday!

These are both great cards...love the sentiment on the first card! Ift fits my 29 year old daughter perfectly...she was a pill when she was little and she still has that same "spritely" spirit!

The Motivet stamp describes my 4 yr. old granddaughter Sierra to a T. The 2 yr. old (Brooke) can be difficult too and she is really cute!
I really like both cards a lot but obviously the 1st one gets top priority in my book!

Kerry is a frog killer??!! What! Tee Hee, I was laughing at your conversation with your hubby because it was word for word what it would have been between me and my husband in the scenario. Except my son would be picking all those silly things out of the leaves, lol. Your cards are wonderful, I adore the image on the first one--how stinkin cute! And your coloring on both are wonderful, I need to come visit and have you teach me.
