Wow!!! You came back! Thanks for stopping by today! I apologize for my long weekend.... I tried to post yesterday...I just didn't get it together to post. I was pooped from the weekend.
Anyhoooooo, to make up for it, I have 3...count 'em, 3 projects for today's posts.
First up is this Pool Party invitation. This recently released super fun Hanna Stamps set is named Pool Party...so it seemed obvious to make a pool party invitation with it. Sometimes they make it so easy for me! :) I chose to use some unusual colors for me. But summer just calls out for bright and fun colors. No pastels or earthy tones for this card! I definitely used some Copic markers that don't see a lot of action around my craft room. LOL! a couple of weeks ago, when I was in book mark making mode, I had made this other book mark out of a jumbo paper clip. Last night, I decided it would be a perfect favor for my "12th birthday celebration". (I just found that SCS has a tutorial on making these, for you). I got my jumbo paper clips at one of those giant office stores.
Last, but certainly not least, is this invitation using smokin' hot BBQ Riley, who was also just recently released. I used an older sketch from Mary Jo's TechnoStamper challenges to start off with. And can you tell I like the summery feeling this red paper gives. It was with the Christmas papers at the store...but it reminded me of summer and picnics.I grabbed a bunch of it, so you can count on seeing it again before September! LOL!
The "Pool Party" and "You're Invited" sentiments on these cards, as well as the inside party information were all made on my computer. I left a bit of space between the inside information because I meant to stamp in there too....ACK! I hate when I remember something AFTER I photograph and edit the pics. So I did go back and use some of the smaller accessory stamps (swim trunks, flip flops, doll....etc...) with the Pool Party set in between the date/place/rsvp. And then on the inside of the BBQ Riley invitation, I used the ants from the Backyard Dwellers mini Set. Now that I am looking at the front of the card I might go back and stamp a few ants on the front of the card too. Just a few...here and there on the designer paper.

Cute cards Kerry. Ants remind me of my first stamping days...our group used to use an ant stamp to try to cover up any boo-boo. We looked forward to receiving those "ant" cards!
