Happy Saturday! I am posting late today...so sorry...I stayed up stamping too late last night and I am pooped! The good news is that today is day 2 of sneak peeks for Hanna Stamps June releases! Day 2 = 2 new stamps to show you on 2 different cards! Will there be 3 cards tomorrow?? Probably not! LOL! I'll see what I can do! ;)

First up is Mason Riley. Do you have a bricklayer in your life? ok...ok...I know that screws have nothing to do with bricklaying...but I bought theses brads and have never been able to use them! My husband is not a mason, he's a general Labor Foreman for a commercial construction company....but I still thought this guy would make a cute card for him! Of course, he too will point out that Riley is a bricklayer and he is not and that screws have nothing to do with masonary. :P But I wanted to go on record that I knew all this before he told me! heeheehee! I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for this card. I like the way it looks. I would have never thought to place 2 little strips behind the circle like that. I think the people that come with sketches for sketch challenges week after week are so creative! I think an interesting layout is the hardest part of a card...at least for me it is!

Second up in our Riley Parade is Soccer Riley! You'll get a kick out him! ha ha ha! get it?! A kick? soccer?! Oh boy...I am so original and hilarious. :) I was trying to decide on paper and colors to use with this image and opened up this SU! paper pack and these 2 colors were next to each other in the paper pack...I liked the way they looked together. They are Kraft and Not Quite Navy. I have been on a KICK (hahaha...get it...kick?!) of using Kraft lately, but I can't ever remember using Not Quite Navy. I have been using SU! products (papers and inks) for 7 years and I don't think I have ever had to re-order a pack NQN cardstock! I literally had to dust off my NQN cardstock for this one. Navy is not a color that I gravitate towards. I gravitate to pinks, purples and greens. I am such a chick! LOL! BUt I am trying to broaden my horizons.... and like I said, I liked the way it looked next to each other in the pack. So now you know my creative process....however it lands is how it happens! LOL!

Both of these Riley's will be available after the release party on Monday night! You can join in on the fun at the release party over at SCS in the Hanna Stamps forum! I hope that you join us!

Have a Splendid Saturday!

As much as you avoid NQN, it makes for a very dramatic card! Try this color combo...NQN, red and Bashful blue. It is so pretty together. It was a Beate challenge a long time ago!
