Hello and Happy Friday my friends!

It is suppose to be a beautiful day here. First time since mid November that we will see 70° or warmer!!! (thanks for the tip Sue!) So what a perfect day for this Hanna Stamps Challenge! This week's challenge was to make a card that has Flowers and Polka Dots. HOW FUN! And what a co-inky dink that I just bought this double sided paper by Imaginsce!
This was one of my first Riley Moose Stamps. I have long enjoyed Riley and his girl, Sophie. It doesn't bother me that they do many of their every day tasks nekkid. :) I mean he is wearing his gardening boots...any clothes would just get all dirty! LOL! It's kind of a joke on the Hanna Stamps Yahoo group about Riley and his preference for being nakey. :) Personally, I like a moose that can feel comfortable in just his boots! heeheehee
If you want to participate in this weeks Hanna Stamps Challenge you can find the original post HERE in the Hanna Stamps Forum on SCS. This challenge is hosted by fellow DT member Sandra. (AKA: B-gin-R on SCS) ( I am not sure what time she will post it in the forum, so check back if it's not up)

Notice the poll over there on the right? Please take a moment to answer it.
I am wondering if you want more info on how I made the specific cards. Personally, I tend not to read blogs where they walk me through a step by step process of their card making. But maybe that's just me. I don't mind sharing more info if that is what people want. Or maybe you'd just like to see one of those little "ask/chat" interactive boxes on my sidebar where you can ask a specific question and I reply. Vote and leave a comment to let me know.

Below is an example of what I mean by a step by step:

For this card I cut a 12"x 6" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I folded that in half for the base. Next I layered a piece of 5.75" by 5.75" of Wild Wasabi CS on top of the base. Then I cut a piece of 5.5"x 5.5" piece of White CS. I ran this through my cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I had to move the cardstock around several times to achieve the embossed dots on all areas of the cardstock because the embossing folders aren't big enough. I really wish they would make those folders bigger. Then I adhered the embossed white cardstock to the Wild Wasabi piece. Next I cut a 5.25"x2.25" of Chocolate Chip CS. I layered a piece of 5"x2" piece of the Green Flowered DP from Imaginisce on top. Then adhered that to the card. Next, I layered a 2"x4.50" piece of Red and White Polka Dot DP from Imaginisce onto a piece of 4.75" x 2.25" piece of Chocolate Chip CS. I adhered this to the base, slightly overlapping the flowered piece. After coloring in my image with Copic Markers, I used my square Nestabilities to cut out the image. ETC.....ETC....ETC........

Actually, I don't think I could write a step by step by step for every post. Look....I can't even finish this one because I am boring myself! And plus, as I mentioned before, it is not such a standard process. It usually involves a lot of ripping up paper and re cutting and cursing. LOL! However, let me know if you'd like to know a little more than my ingredients, that I usually provide. Or maybe there is something that you'd like to know more about that I can provide on a one time thing. Like how I choose my colors. Or How do I buy my papers.

To be honest, I think its funny that anyone would be interested in how I do anything! LOL! So I guess that's why I don't provide the details. I am still shocked that you all come here to my blog everyday!! So once again, thanks for stopping in today!

Have a Splendiferous Day!

Hi Kerry

I love your blog, and the posts you publish, they make my giggle. Personally I like to know how cards are made, but yes it probably is a bit long winded. I think your cards are amazing and they give me lots of inspiration.

Keep them coming.

Love your card(s). No. You are not the "very descriptive" type. You've got more humor than description which is one of the reasons I love being here!

p.s. the only reason I put it in my blog is .... it fills up the page! bwwwaahhhaaaa. Yeah. Like my humor wouldn't! teeeheeee.

I think your posts are lovely just the way they are!
Does anyone really read all that stuff? Maybe if you do something really unique, yu could explain, but otherwise I think crafters can pretty much figure it out!
Have a fabulous day!

Riley is so adorable in his boots.
Love your card & your posts. You have a fabulous writing style.
Me I'm one of those people who do leave "step by step" instructions (is that boring?) but it doesn't matter to me if people don't. I love your cards either way.

I love your Riley cards and rationalization about the clothing! Too funny. Sometimes I really am interested in finding out more how the card was made but not all the time. If not, I just skip that part. I guess I really never thought about how long it takes to write all that out. How about the thingy on the side where if you have questions - you can click it and ask away and then it is up to you to respond. That sure would work for me - if my opinion matters!

Adorable card, Kerry! The papers you had really worked very well for this challenge!
I know that it takes time when you writing description, but maybe do not describe everything, but only some moments that are unusual or interesting. Like on this card. How did you make a tag? Did you use a corner punch or just cut it with sccisors. Or how did you decorated the flowers. Did you tie a ribbon through the button and then attached to the flower with a glue dot? And maybe making some pictures - so it will be like sharing tips and tricks from Kerry! I love this idea! Do you?

Nakey moose...oh my! Thanks for my laugh out loud moment today! I don't read all the details of a card unless it has something unusual like a neat bow or something. I do like to know the size of a card though...don't ask me why LOL...just one of those things to give me a reference to the rest of the card I guess.
Wonderful DP you used on this card too!

Just a bit more detail would be great. My eyes glaze over during step-by-step. Why you do what you do and why you chose what you chose is more interesting.

I love the garden Riley. I wish Iwas a brave as you are with mixing your paper. It looks FANTASTIC, and yet, I would have never thought of using them together. Wonderfully done!
