mmmmm.....mmmmmmmm! Ice Cream!

Other: Certainly Brads; Certainly Celery grosgrain; Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; Pewter Snowflake Charm
Card Measures 5" sq

Aaaaahhhh....there's nothing like ice cream when it's 12 degrees fahrenheit out. My altruistic friend Jane sent me some of these penguin images a couple of months back. She is such a doll! Good thing she sent me more than one. When I first received them I tried to color them...But black is sometimes tough to achieve. Because usually we just want the illusion of black. True black is too dark. It hides all the details of the image. But trying to achieve the "illusion" is not so easy for me sometimes. It comes out looking too gray-ish or too blue-ish. So after trashing 2-3 images, I set the image aside. This weekend I decided I better make a card with this penguin now since it is March! This time it worked OK and I was satisfied with the results. I also needed to use this charm that I bought a few months back...so a sketch from the Mojo Monday blog a couple of weeks ago worked out just great.

This will be the last winter card for the season. I love penguins and snowmen, but I am ready to move onto flowers and chicks and bunnies for awhile!

I have to make this post a quickie. It is 3am here. Seven o'clock wont be long coming. :P

Have a Vivacious Tuesday!

Oh, Kerry, I don't care if it's a winter stamp - it's PRECIOUS! The colors you've used are fantastic, too.

I love Shelly Comiskey's work, having fallen in love with her graphics at PC Crafter (not sure how many sets I own now!). I was thrilled to see her at Whipper Snapper.

Thanks for stopping by my blog & for sharing such a sweet card!
