For This Week's 3CT Challenge*****

Yippeee Kai YAY! I have been eagerly awaiting 2 packages: A High Hopes order that I placed over a month ago. I don't have any "High Hopes" of getting it soon, though. >:(
And my very first Stamp Club Kit from Magnolia. The latter came today! I just about danced back from the mailbox! What is the Magnolia Stamp Club, you ask? It is a sheet of "rubber only" that contains 12-15 images. 5-7 of them are Tildas/Edwins. It costs about $40 US dollars. (If you buy Magnolias, you know that the Tilda's/Edwin's are anywhere from $7 (unmounted)- $11 (on foam). So $40 is a pretty good price! The catch: You don't know what the stamps are going to look like. They are a surprise until they arrive in your mailbox. Or you find a blog of someone in Europe who gets their stamps first and kindly shares them with the rest of us who are jonesing for a peek! :) It has to be "pre purchased" as a kit for this price. Now that they have been mailed the Spring kit is no longer for sale. You will be able to purchase them individually for the normal prices soon.

A few years ago, I use to buy these packs of 12x12 paper from Michaels. It was called "The Stack", I believe. It would have 180 sheets of paper: 60 designs/3 of each. So I would split them into 3 sets of 60 and sell them on Ebay. Eventually I got sick of it. But I have had this one "Stack" left for years. YearS. About a month or so ago I cracked it open...I had certain colors in mind for a card, but didn't really any paper that I was looking for. I thought maybe this "OLD" (aka now ugly) paper would have something. I ended up with this card. And I was even pleased with the finished card. Even if it did have "OLD" paper on it. ;)
So that got me thinking that OLD can be new again. That just because it isn't the prettiest paper in my stash, didn't mean that it couldn't make a pretty card. And with this card pictured above, I was also pleased. That red paper (also from the Stack) isn't something I would probably buy these days. But you what? I like the way it looks on this card. I used up most of the green paper from the stack making projects with my Brownie troop...and I now I wish I didn't! LOL! So for the green I used this retired DSP from SU!

So are you going to challenge yourself this week to go back and re-evaluate that "old" paper?! Give it a go...you might be pleasantly suprised! I can't wait to see what you made!

PS- like Copics? check out this awesome blog candy HERE!

Have a Spectacular Thursday!

This is such an amazing card, Kerry! Just goes to prove you should never, ever throw away any cardstock, right? Maybe not always true, but definitely in this case!

Really cute card! The little details are so sweet and the paper just fits the stampmotif perfect :)

I'm waiting for my High Hopes order too... I placed it excactly a month ago - but I've gotten an email that said among other this: ..."Any orders that were placed through the end of Feb. will be processed this weekend and shipped out Monday..(16th)..Any orders placed throughout March will be done throughout next week but I cannot give an exact date as of today."
And ofcourse mine will get to me even later since I live in Norway :( But it's super for them that they've had a boom in their business! That is why they're late - lots of stamps 2 do and few employees :)
