Good Morning! Before I get started I want to thank everyone for coming by here every now and then to check out my projects. I truly appreciate your always kind comments too!

I hope that you will also come by tomorrow and participate our very first Three Clover Thursday Challenge!

I don't have too much more to say today...I am pooped...I can't think straight. We set up a toddler bed for Maeve in her room. Well she thought it was fun for about 10 minutes. But refuses to sleep in it unless I am laying on the floor next to her...and she doesn't sleep...she just lays there. Fine, maybe she's not ready. Her crib is up...she can sleep there... But apparently she is so put out by the fact that we set this bed up that she refuses to sleep in her crib now too. I can't let her "cry it out" because she also learned how to climb out of her crib. So she just climbs out and comes into my room. Of course we are so tired that if she would sleep in our bed we would let her...but she never has...She'll just stay awake....turning and tossing and touching my face, pointing out my body parts: mommy, eyes! mommy, ears! mommy, tummy! tickle tickle tickle...etc... and at some point sticks her fingers up my nose. How she can go all night and not sleep: I don't know....But I am exhausted. And so is she....we are both VERY cranky this morning. Top it off with school vacation week for Declan and a 1/2 school day for Orla...by 3pm I should be a complete nutcase.

Anyhooooo, this frog stamp is from High Hopes. Isn't he cute? I placed a HH order for a bunch of their new releases and hope they come soon! They have such fun stamps! Plus I am waiting on my very first "stamp club" from Magnolia! oooooh! I can hardly wait!

Now if I can just get Maeve to sleep! Yawn.

Have a Fantabulous day!!!

Sounds like a rough transition, but she will get the hang of it. The card is adorable! I love froggies!

Oh, sleeping issues are the worst!! That's why I have a 2 year old who still sleeps with me!! It was the only way either of us could ever get any rest.

Anyway, I also wanted to say that I love your card. Too cute!!

Oh you poor thing! I'm so glad I'm a grandma and not a parent to a young child. BUT, when my GD is over she sleeps with me even though she has her own room here. DH sleeps in her bed (it's a full size anyway). Maybe a music box would help?

Just be thankful that she's a typical little toddler!

Your card is - as always - beautiful. Tired or not! I hope you will be able to take a nap or catch some zzzzs however you can.

There's a country/ western song out by Darius Rucker that says "this won't last too long" and, it won't. Give it a week!

Much [[hugs]]

Congrats on the Magnolia club.....their images are just the cutest! Can't wait to see what you create with them. :)

Hugs,

You poor dear. It is a tough transition for them sometimes. My GD got up this morning with the runs and tossing her cookies. must be something in the air.

How adorable! I love frogs and this one is so cute and you've really doen a fantastic job with the colors/papers etc...on this card.
So sorry to hear you aren't getting proper sleep. I can relate even though mine isn't child related. Lack of sleep isn't fun. Hoping things improve soon for you and Maeve.

I love the card and appreciate the list of copics used in on the card.

I am sure someone else will come up with a better solution but here are my suggestions.

I always gave my daughter choices.
Either put on your pajamas and go to bed OR put on your pajamas, choose a book for me to read to you, then go to bed.

Most nights, I enjoyed singing to her. The deal was she had to keep her eyes closed while I sang. We would also start with her holding my finger. Then I would move near door, then I would just sit in the room.

Let Maeve choose. Either she goes to bed alone, or, you will sit with her for 15 mintues if she does not talk, keeps her eyes closed, and only holds your finger. Time is a good bargaining chip since the little ones can't tell the difference between 5 mintues and 25 minutes.

Ask if the crib mattress should be put on the floor along side the new bed. She could be worried of falling out of bed.
Sleep with her pillow case so it picks up your scent. She might find that comforting.
Add body pillows might help her feel snug.

I really don't know the answer.Best wishes.

Very cute card, that little frog is cute. I had the same problem transitioning Syd into a bed, we resorted to the baby gate in her room for a few weeks and she finally got the hang of going to sleep in her bed. Me + kids in my bed= super cranky Mommy!!!

I love frogs...and really love how you added the sentiment to this card! Great job!

Good luck with Maeve. My son had a heck of a time transitioning too...there were a lot of tears for a couple weeks, and then one day...he was over it! Whew! Music does help sooth them also. I gave my son a little tape recorder he could listen to and that helped!

Love your card! Your coloring matches the paper perfectly!

I know this will sound crazy, but enjoy every moment (even the no sleep) as soon she will be 16 and be smarter than you, not want to spend time with you, have a HUGE attitude, etc. LOL!!

I really need to find some cash for some of those High Hopes Stamps. I love them! You did such a fabulous job with this card, so many wonderful details. Sure hope you get some sleep soon, remember these moments in time don't last long, then before we know it we miss them. Enjoy the moment as much as you can with no sleep, lol!
