!!!!

Good Morning! It's Monday! What does that mean? TechnoStamper has a new sketch available for your paper crafting pleasure. :) Go on over and check it out. While you are there send her some birthday cheer!!! I think she is 21 today! How exciting!

Sometimes when I am making a card I predetermine some supplies. No matter what, I am using xx, xx, and xx. Exhibit A is pictured above. :( I got a package from Kelly, the awesome owner of the KL Stampin N Scrappin store. In that package was a gorgeous pack of Basic Grey's Sugared paper. And this sweet Tilda holding her puppy. I couldn't wait to use them!! You all know that I can barely make a card and not use BG paper....and I am pretty sure that this is my favorite Tilda yet!!! I do love dogs. :) Now, I've been sick since last Thursday...I think I may even have to go to the DR. I never go to the DR other than physicals. Anyhoooo...because of this I really haven't been stamping...or anything else aside from sleeping and coughing. But I really like to have the card for MJ's challenge up on Monday mornings. So Sunday afternoon I got myself downstairs and decided I was going to make a card with her sketch for the week. AND I wanted to use my newest and (CUTEST EVAH!) Tilda. AND I definitely needed to use this yummy paper! Looking at the sketch I decided that adding some Flower Soft to it and having the puppies peek out from the Flower Soft would be perfect. Somewhere...in my Robitussin/Motrin haze...it all went wrong. I just couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like. I added things...I took away things....I ripped things. :( I sponged...I Cuttlebugged....I threw away. Now that I am looking at this picture. I have decided I went wrong adding the pink cardstock. I wanted to bring out the pinks in the pattern...but I don't think it is particularly working well. And the pink looks....um....ick. Well, at least I was happy with the inside of my card. Why is always when I am done (I mean caput! mentally DONE!). Done stamping...done taking and editing pics and I am looking at the pic and suddenly it all makes sense or that is when you notice a spec of glitter where it doesn't belong...or a brad just slightly off. (hahaha Michelle!) And it may seem insignifigant but in the pic it appears like a wart on your nose! LOL!

Well, I think my point making is as clear as mud tonight...sorry. I know that the above paragraph may not even make sense. So I will leave you with an important piece of info: You can get your own Tilda with Puppy and Basic Grey paper at Kelly's shop. She sells all the Magnolia Stamps for 10% off EVERY DAY!!!! (she also has more fabby stamp companies coming soon!) Register on the store site and you will get updates on sales. And she always has good ones! Like for this week use coupon code Feb2009 and get 25% off your order!!!!!!!!!!! Um hello?! what are you still doing here?!

Have a Splendiferous Monday!

Kerry the pink worked after all. I think the sponging toned it down and it flowed with the darker red/wine color. The flower soft on the bottom also fit in nicely.
Your cards are always great. I think most of us are too critical. I have a heck of a time putting a card together. It sure seems that you don't have that problem.
Get well soon.

Sorry your not feeling well. I think the pink worked out just fine. Maybe the pink in the DP didn't show through that well but there is pink in the back of your images so it doesn't look out of place to me. :)
Take care and recover soon.

you've got to be kidding me!!!!! There is nothing 'ick' about this!! Send it to me!!

I LOVE that pink! That was one of the first things I noticed. My first thought was "how much is that puppy in the window" Ü

Looks like there is a big trend for decorating the inside of cards too. I will have to try that. The only time I've "decorated" the inside is when I've made a booboo with the sentiment so had to cover it up. LOL!!

How adorable to cut out the photo for the side images! And I often work the same way, choosing supplies beforehand -- at least it gives us a starting point, right? Otherwise, the choices sometimes overwhelm me!

Yeah, I hear you about going to the Dr.'s....even though I am married to one!! I'm usually happy with my cards when I finish them, then two weeks later I may come across it again, and think, Wow, who made that yucky card!! Go figure, Huh?
