Happy Monday!! How was everyone's weekend? We did a deep cleaning around here Saturday...and then we had Maeve's 2nd birthday party here on Sunday. My little Maeve turned 2 on New Year's Day. We held off on having her party with the holidays and stuff. Maeve is just so stinkin' adorable! (I might be biased...a little!) We have been teaching her that when someone asks how old she is, she responds with "I'm two." She even holds up her hand trying to show her 2 fingers...but she crosses her index and middle finger and squeals:"Iiiiiii Twoooooooo!" Think of a delectable food that you enjoy savoring....that is Maeve. She is just YUMMY! She even smells sweet. People just fall in love with her wherever we go. I can't blame them! LOL! I am not happy, though...my baby is 2! :( boohoohoo!
Friday night I squeezed in some time and made this origami box. I have been seeing these lovely little boxes all over the blogs and SCS. There was a Technique Lovers Challenge on SCS to make these. You can find directions on how to make your own here. It took me a few minutes to wrap my mind around the directions...I just wasn't "getting it". Then all of a sudden I had light bulb moment and realized what it was telling me to do! LOL! After that it was pretty easy. In fact my friend Tracey/Brownie co-leader was here yesterday and we decided to make these with our Brownie troop. The girls are 7.
One tip: The directions on SCS are excellent, however it says that you need "chipboard". What you really need is thin cardboard. Like the back of a notebook...or a cereal box. Did you ever order a package of designer paper from Stampin' Up? If so, you know that there is always a 12x12 piece of white cardboard that comes with it. That is there to protect the paper from folding. But I always, always, always save that cardboard because it can be used for so many things. Including this box. Also it works as the backdrop for all my card and project pics. ;) I am very high tech here! LOL!
Have a Yummy Monday!
