Isn't this piggy CUTE?! This is my first Clear Dollar Stamps set. Me Likey! I also enjoy making these little origami boxes. This time I wanted to try the version that Sharon shared on her blog. I have oodles of plain white 4" coasters...(oops! my hoarding problem again. LOL!) I changed the measurements around that Sharon used though. I used a 9.5" sq piece of paper for the box and 4x 9.75 pieces of paper for the cover.
I started making this for my BFF, Kristen. She loves this pig image. And I thought it would be cute to use that "snort!" However, I thought that I would be a terrible friend to stamp that sentiment on the top then fill it with candy! Like those cookies jars that MOOOO when you open them! No fun. :( LOL! So I decided to stick post it notes in there. But maybe, I will just wait to give it to her and stick a gift card in it for her birthday. LOL! Post it notes are kind of boring. Better yet, maybe I will make Kristen a new one and give this one to my hubby....he definitely won't take offense to the snorting...you know men...no matter what they think they are lean mean sexy machines! LOL!!!!!!!!!
I took several pics of this so that you could see the dimension on his face. I popped up his head and again his snout.
Great news...we are expecting a foot of snow here today. The kids are most definitely home. Yippee. We just got a letter from the school yesterday that February school vacation has been cancelled due to all the snow days. The kids have to make up the school days. Now, I have lived here in Massachusetts my entire life and this is a first! At this rate though, they will have to take away April vacation too. Why does this not excite me? Declan goes to school in a different school district. He will still have his week off in February. It's tricky...If our district has a snow day he does not go due to poor driving conditions in our area. If the other district does not have school he does not go either. *sigh* Again, I love my kids....but too much of a good thing....LOL! Speaking of a good thing....I think I will bake some cookies with the girls today. Y'all know how much I {heart} cookies!!! That will cheer us all up! Snort! Snort! Snort! LMBO!
Wherever you are I hope that you have a Summery Day!!

Love this idea, what a great make for a dear friend. I shall have to check it out and maybe try one. Love to hear you have snow but sorry that kids take up so much stamping time when they're home. Have fun in the snow!
I love that stamp, but then I have been collecting pigs for 20 years now! =)
Great idea for the box, wish I had that stamp too! =)

Love that pig!!!!! And your boxes are adorable - I WILL seriously get to trying one soon!!!! Enjoy cookie baking!!!!
Oh my!! He is just too cute!! Love this!
Love the box. So very cute.
Every time I read about someone having a snow day I just laugh. Snow days don't exist in Saskatchewan. We just put on some more layers, and brave the cold and the snow. It sucks to have a whole week of holidays taken away though. I am sure there are families that have travel plans that will miss that week anyways.
Have fun baking cookies!
This is just too cute! I love the pig and your creativity in this! Now...I would want my box filled with chocolate - for the "piggy" in me, LOL!
Super cute Kerry - love the dimension on the cute piggy!

Very cute pig -- it reminds me of the line in 'Christmas Story' where the mom tells her son to 'show me how the piggy eats'!

This box and image brought an immediate smile to my face. What a great stamp!!!! We have 10 inches of snow here today, which is our first snow of the season.
