Whew! I'm baaaaaack! We had a big ice storm here last Thursday night-Friday AM. I was down in my craft room in the wee hours of the night (3am) and the lights went out. We just got power back Tuesday night at 7:30! Cable/Internet just came back about an hour ago! ( I am pre-typing several posts on Word, so that I can copy and paste and get them up ASAP!) No internet! I have been like an addict in withdrawal! I think I even had the shakes and sweats and all! LOL! Just Kidding...but I have not been a happy camper. Do you know how much I depend on Google? I Google everything!

In all seriousness, though, we are very fortunate. My DH was able to bring home a generator from his work, so we had heat and some power. (Like our fridge). And aside from some large branches and 1 tree down on our property there was no serious damage. (Thankfully a large branch missed out little goat house by only a few feet.) While driving around we saw lots of big trees down. Some roads are still impassible and our school district has canceled classes until January 5th. That's when the kids would have returned after the Christmas vacation. They were scheduled to go to school through December 23rd. (I know school vacation schedules vary throughout the country) Now it appears that Dec.10th was there last full day.

Anyhooooooooo, before I was interrupted, I did finish my blogger's challenge for last Friday- I just never got to post it. I didn't want to add too many embellies, I think too much would have taken away from the images and word. What do you think...does it need more? I love this little snow covered house. I just might have another card coming that uses it...hint-hint.

Please forgive the quality of my photos. I wasn't working with my usual lighting etc...

Well, by Monday night, I started bringing some of my stamps upstairs where I had light, so I do have a few more cards to share with you before Christmas. I might have had more...but with Maeve and Declan trying to "help", it slowed me down. (For the record: They seem to like my precious Copics as much as I do! YIKES!)

Have an ELECTRIFYING Tuesday!! I know that I sure will...now! ;-)

This is a FANTASTIC project. I'm just so happy that your power is back on. I've been in your place - powerless to do anything electronically, and it ain't fun! Glad you are back with the living! :)

It's adorable!
Glad you got your power back! And glad there was little damage. I can imagine how difficult it was with out internet or the ability to stamp (we have our priorities, don't we?) :)

I love your project!!! I am sorry to hear you were one of the areas to have no power. I was lucky enough to be spared though many around me lost their power and lots of trees. Yikes, an extended school vacation isn't always fun for mom, especially right before XMAS.
I can't wait to see what else you've created!

I did what you are doing in the ice storm in NC in 2002. Not fun. I am so glad you at least had a generator. I think your project is beautiful and can't tell there is a lack of light at all. I love the letter and the embellishments too!

If you could give more detailed information on some, I think it is even more perfect, and I need to obtain more information!
