Go Green=Recycle!

Most supplies by Imaginesce Hallowhimsy Collection. SU! CS colors used were Eggplant Envy; Pumpkin Pie;Black;Kiwi Kiss; White

This was made for a recycling challenge I joined. We were to use something that we normally throw away on our card/project. (candy wrappers, junk mail, store bought card(!)

My favorite beverage is Crystal Raspberry Ice Tea. I drink about a gallon a day. No joking. So I go through a bunch of the these containers. I thought they would make some cute candy holders. And they were so easy and quick to make! I peeled the original label off, measured it, cut my paper about the same size and stuck it on there. Then I cut a strip of the this paper layered it on some CS and corrugated it. Stamped and cut the skull. punched 3 circles and Voila! Easy Peasy! Let me tell you that they held more candy than I thought. I bought 2 regular sized bags of Kisses and the tall container used a whole bag and the smaller one almost a full bag. So if I give these to some special kids on Halloween, I will be sure to use the bigger treat sized candies with some other smaller ones as fillers.

For the top I punched 2 circles (Giga/pink and a mega(?)/BLUE Marvy Uchida punches) and they fit perfectly.

Good idea. I don't drink that much of it, but when I did finish my one container, I new it would make a item to alter. Love...Love ...Love the new banner and signature.

great use of recyclables - I also recycle my containers like this among others and it is fun to turn something ordinary into something useful and cute to boot!

I have been saving my containers too - I really like what you did with them!! I did some christmas ones last year - if you take your crop-a-dile and punch two holes opposite each other, just below the cap line in the container and string a ribbon thru, you can hang it on a doorknob (or christmas tree branch) as a little surprise gift!

Where did you get that Skull stamp? I really loke that one!
