It's Friday...that means it is time for another Blogger's Challenge! I have to admit that the past few have been easy peasy for me. I mean watercoloring and designer paper...second nature to me! :)
But this weeks challenge of Warhol style was not so natural to me. I have never done one of these before. Lisa is the Warhol queen, in my opinion. And her work is about the only exposure I have had to it. But Lisa and I have different stamp styles. I call myself a "cutesy" stamper. My favorite images usually are animals with human qualities...like mice or turtles holding flowers...a penguin eating ice cream...a moose doing the hula...but those images just didn't seem to fit the Warhol style. While thinking about what stamps I had that seemed more realistic, I could only think of a few leaf sets I had. Fall is my favorite season, I totally love the colors of fall, so it all clicked and fell into place easily after that! Stamp, Stamp, Stamp...punch, punch....and the card is done! I felt really weird about having a card without even 1 embellishment of some sort...but I didn't want to take away from the overall style so I added clear Dew Drops to the corner of each square. Voila! Done. And considering this isn't my typical style, I am pleased with the outcome. I might even try another one in the near future.
Have you ever tried making a Warhol card? Go ahead, give it try!

PS: I was having a hard time getting the true colors of this card in the photo, so please forgive me.
