Sock Monkey card #1
All Supplies by Stampin' Up!
When I saw the Sock Monkey set in the SU! sneak peak I knew I wanted it. I like quirky...nostalgic...silly. But after making a couple of cards, I feel a little stumped. bored. Oh well, it will make some good b-day cards for kids.
Also in the SU! sneak peak was a new Simply Sent kit. I am not really into those SS kits but the color combo in this kit really caught my eye. The colors are: Perfect Plum, Rose Red, Old Olive and More Mustard. I would never have put those colors together...but I love them! Go try it out!
You know that saying: Mistakes are embellishments waiting to happen...or something like that? Well that happened again with this card....stamping a sentiment directly onto to the finished card. Originally I stamped JUST FOR YOU directly onto the white but it was crooked. not too bad...but I didn't like it one bit! So out came my punches and this is the final take. I was actually happy with the end result with the Word Window Punch and circle punches.
Have a great weekend!

Wow, I love this card...wonderful colors and layout!
He is as cute as a sock monkey can be. I am not a fan of them but you did a great job making him cute!
Cute card Kerry! I love the ribbon stripes in these fun colors.
I thought I wanted this guy when I first saw him too. But after seeing some cards I think I would tire of him quickly.
Kerry,
I think you did a fab job with with this card. I would have found him hard to work with, but your card is wonderful (really). Good job my friend.
Oh, I love your mistake!!! I think it looks fantabulous!
