Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! Like much of the northern US...it is frigid here!! Even indoors it feels like I just can't shake that chilly feeling! That's ok...as long we don't get any more ice storms I am happy! Boy, do I wish I let my husband put a remote start in my car...I thought it would be a poor use of money...but the last few days it would have been worth it! LOL!

Anyhow, with how cold it actually is outside, it was a nice change from wintery cards to make this springy Lily the Fairy card. Lily the Fairy was a free download from Pink Cat Studio for a contest. You can see the winner's card here. You can see all the cards here. There are lots of cute and fun cards! Pink Cat Studio had such a great response that they are making a whole Lily the Fairy stamp set...I can hardly wait! One thing about digi stamping I discoverd is that you can't use Stickles...it makes the printer ink run. My first Fairy's wings became a black muddied mess! :(

Well that's all I got for today....I am off to try to warm up now!

Have a Toasty Thursday!

  1. Super cute Kerry! Wasn't this a fun contest? I printed her out and then photocopied the image onto my cardstock thinking that would help with the running ink. It was fine for the stickles, but gamsol and too much water was still a problem.

Give me real stamps over digital files any day! I can't wait for the stamp set to come out next month.

  2. That's precious! Love Lily. I am not a digi girl at all. I will stick with real paper, embellishments, stamps, ink, etc. any day.

    Stay warm, Kerry!

  6. great card - just one question!! I have seen several cards with their four corners cut out - but how do you do it? Is there a punch that does it - I have yet to find it if there is!!

Ah - have just thought - I could use the edge of a circle punch couldn't I?!?

  10. You have the right idea! I am so sick of the extreme weather here. I'm not usually drawn to fairy stamps but this one is really cute. I like the DP you used.

  18. OR you can spend ages writing out a poem in calligraphic script, in order to create your own pp for a scrapping challenge, then add some distress inks and watch your writing dissolve when you spray the paper with water....! Fortunately it didn't run away completely, and it certainly looked distressed!

  19. I hear ya about these frigid temps today, girl!! Brrrr -- "baby, it's cold outside" sure came to mind when I stepped out today. Love your spring-like colors, and I often wondered how the printed images held up to copics or stickles. Your coloring looks terrific! :) Kel
